Editorial: Levine Keeps Pushing for Extra Lane on Richmond-San Rafael Bridge

Levine is right, the current situation should not be tolerated. It is unsafe, environmentally damaging, inefficient and harmful to businesses whose livelihood is blocked off by bumper-to-bumper bridge-bound traffic.

Levine Op-Ed: Reopen the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge Lane — Now

I will author legislation in the extraordinary session to require a temporary third lane on the eastbound Richmond-San Rafael Bridge to be opened immediately. A temporary third lane can continue to be open while the environmental review and design work occur and while completion of a permanent third lane is underway.

Jerry Brown Signs Levine Bill Protecting Medical Marijuana Patients

Gov. Jerry Brown has signed legislation prohibiting hospitals from denying organ transplants to medical marijuana users based solely on their use of the drug, Brown’s office announced Monday.

Levine said the legislation will “save lives by ensuring medical cannabis patients are not discriminated against in the organ transplant process.”

Legislators Clear Plan to Rename Marin Tunnel for Robin Williams

The state Senate on Thursday approved the resolution introduced by Assemblyman Marc Levine, D-San Rafael, to change the name of the Waldo Tunnel. The state Assembly took the same action in April. Because it is a resolution, the change doesn't need a signature from Gov. Jerry Brown.
