Secondhand smoke kills. That's why our schools, workplaces, businesses and public facilities are smoke free environments. But smoke still looms where people should feel safest: in their homes. Current laws leave families and others that live in multi-unit housing vulnerable to the habits of their neighbors. Shared ventilation systems and air spaces put children and non-smokers at risk of inhaling deadly carcinogens. Marc's bill (AB 746) seeks to secure children and adults the protection at home they already enjoy in public.
